Hello new and old readers!
Welcome to my newly revamped blog. On April 30, 2020, I was hooded as Dr. Adejare-Smith, MD. Although my doctoral convocation was virtual due to COVID-19 and not what I imagined it would have been when I started medical school 4 years ago, it was still VERY special. Shout out to THE Ohio State University College of Medicine for doing a great job on that. The end of this medical school journey also meant the end of this chapter: “Curve Balls and Med School.” When I first created this blog in 2013 and named it that, it was quite fitting. I had recently graduated with my Bachelors from University of Pennsylvania and was working towards my goal of going to medical school and becoming a physician. Well, I certainly encountered several curve balls along the way, and documenting them with the goal of inspiring others, gave me purpose and vigor to press on. I am proud to say I MADE IT. Adios to the journey, and HELLOOOO to a new one: Adejare-Smith, MD.
The new blog name is: AdejareSmith.com but if you do type in my old domain, http://www.curveballsandmedschool.com, it will re-direct you here. My old posts and everything over the years, are still on here. I am so excited for this next phase as a resident physician and looking forward to blogging this journey as well.
