Hey ladies and gents! I want to share with you all something I’ve been working on for almost 2 months now. I recently joined the Memunatu Magazine team as a campaign manager for their Indiegogo campaign. Memunatu is a classroom magazine for teenage girls in West Africa that promotes literacy, leadership, and empowerment. This start-up was founded by two friends of mine (fellow Penn alums of Sierra Leonean descent). I am deeply passionate about African development, so this is a cause I hold dear to my heart. Want to participate in a social enterprise that empowers teen girls in West Africa?
Come join Memunatu Magazine on October 30th as we launch our Indiegogo Campaign! Memunatu is a classroom magazine for secondary school girls in West Africa that has been recognized as an Echoing Green Semifinalist, Harvard Business School New Venture Competition Semifinalist, Dell Social Innovation Fellow, Wharton VIP company, and more! Mariama Kabia, the Penn alum who co-founded the startup is coming to campus to talk about Memunatu, introduce the campaign, and provide opportunities for you to get involved!
This event is in collaboration with Wharton Social Impact Club, IRUSA, SIR, the MBA Entrepreneurship Club, and Penn African Students Association.
